Nailed It Set by Sephora

Mini set by Sephora

This set from Sephora has the 10 polishes listed.  Sadly, the little bottles don’t have the names on them, so I need to find a way to remember which is which!  LOL  I have used a couple so far, one of which is the blue Mermaid To Order, and really like these polishes.  Can’t wait to try them all!

Happy hump day!!

Nessa By Julep

Nessa By Julep

Here are a couple manicures that I’ve done in the last week.  The first look uses Ulta Scene Steel-er  and Essie’s Shine of the Times over it.  The stamping is done with Finger Paint’s Black Impressionism.  That is currently my go-to color for stamping.  The Nessa came in my Julep Maven box for April.  There were 3 great colors, will post some pics of all of them eventually lol.

I’ve got some new stamping plates that I will be trying out this weekend.  The family and I are going to an all-day concert on Sunday, so I will be trying some funky new styles.  The only problem will be deciding on the final look.  Have a great weekend!!

Eyeball Tutorial – Needs work, but you get the idea….

Hi, there!  Here’s my first attempt at Eyeball Nails, as inspired by this Chalkboard Nails tutorial.  Not too bad for a first try, but apparently I didn’t have a large enough tool to dot the white with.  Will see if I can’t figure out what I can use to get them more symmetrical.  I also got a nice bunch of polish from Ulta that was crazy on sale PLUS I had a $25 gift card I had forgotten about.  Party Time!!!!  Will post some pics later.

Hope the moms had a happy mother’s day!

My first Konad manicure!!

First Konad Manicure - shot 1

First Konad Manicure - shot 2

Here are the result of my first Konad stamp manicure using an image from plate M4.  It’s a bit sloppy, and I need to work on my technique, but I think it’s not too shabby!  Especially considering that I really didn’t have the time necessary to devote to doing it.  But I couldn’t wait!  In between dinner and school work came the nails tonight.

I used Finger Paints Black Expressionism as the base and Wet ‘n Wild Wild Shine French White Creme (449C) for the image.  Now that I see the results of my first attempt, I can’t wait to try more!  I am anxious to see what else I can do with these image plates.  The plates I currently have are only small images, no full nail patterns.  Seeing these I now really want to try a full nail design!  Oh my, why are there not more hours in the day??

Happy Monday!!

Flyers Mani 1

Flyers Mani 1

Here is my first Flyers Mani for review, and also my first striping attempt (as if you needed to be told that LOL).  I used the same colors in this one as my previous Flyers Mani, and THIS one actually helped them win!  At least I would like to think that it did.  Things aren’t looking so good for them as of late, so I will have to keep hoping for the best.   Perhaps I will do another themed manicure?  Only time will tell.   Hope everyone enjoys their Monday!

Friday Night Light

Friday Night Light 3

Friday Night Light 3

This is the manicure i did Friday night after dinner at Outback.  While the dinner was a pleasant evening with my husband and some good friends, the service left something to be desired.  As a result, I had to come home and update my manicure to renew my faith in the world. LOL

I used two coats of Orly’s Decades of Dysfunction (Dark Shadows Collection) as the base, one coat of Revlon’s 261 Sparkling and, of course, Seche Vite topcoat.  I promise to work on my picture taking skills and knowing my camera better in order to get better snapshots to you all.  Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  🙂
