All Hail The Queen, formerly known as All Hail McQueen in honor of legendary fashion designer Steve McQueen, is a beige/nude polish with scattered holographic glitter that I absolutely love.  When I first grabbed this color I was going for a neutral creme polish and boy was I surprised when I got a better look and saw all that sparkly goodness throughout!  I typically don’t go for shades this light, but I must say that I really like it!

My pictures don’t do this polish true justice, as in person there is a fine diamond-like shimmer with this polish.  Noticeable indoors and really comes to life in sunlight, which we have been lucky enough to have here in recent days although the temps are in the 20s for highs.  Not that I am complaining, of course, bring it on!  Where’s my snow???  But I digress…..

As with all the other butter LONDON colors I own, this formula was great to work with.  Two coats and a top coat are shown in all the pictures above.  Pardon the fingerprints, but you obviously know I’ve handled the bottle.  Will have to make sure I do a better wipe job before photographing in the future.  🙂

As always, thanks for reading.  Have a great week, everybody!

Happy (almost) hump day everybody!  Disco Lane is the last color I am showing you from the Nails Inc. The After Party set.  It’s is a black creme with a scattered holographic finish.  The formula is a little on the thick side, but wasn’t difficult to apply and came out nice and smooth with two layers of topcoat.

This one is a scattered holo, not a linear holo like Layla’s or Jade Holographics, so if that’s the style you’re going for this is not your polish.  I’ve seen negative reviews of this color, as it doesn’t give you the same look as a linear holo, but I like it.  I love the way it catches the light randomly and gives you a beautiful flash of color from within it’s murky depths.  Yeah, yeah, I know, but it’s pretty cool.  🙂

Here’s a blurry shot of it so you can see the holographic goodness, then a macro so you can see it up close and personal.

I FINALLY got around to trying this, and it works amazingly well!! I’ve removed 10 full nails of even heavily pigmented colors and only used half a puff! Thanks SO much for the idea IndieLuvlie!!

IndieLuvlie

When I was a girl, I used cotton balls or paper towels and a bottle of nail polish remover to take the color off my nails. It was a messy job, and it took a lot of paper towels, and the cotton balls tended to leave little strings attached to my nails.  As a young adult, I had my nails professionally manicured.

Ah the 80’s…. Where did I get all that money?  I also used to tan… DON’T DO THAT!!! Skin cancer scars aren’t pretty, trust me.

When the twins were born, manicures and tans were quickly forgotten as all of my time and money were devoted to the boys. Since the boys turned 15 or so, I started paying more attention to myself again, but now I’m frugal – we had so little money for many years when they were growing up so I’m uncomfortable paying more than I…

Soho Street is another part of The After Party collection from Nails Inc It’s a bit more of my Christmas nail polish haul that I couldn’t be happier about!

Just like the bottle says, it looks like a glitter party in a bottle!  It’s a clear base with rainbow colored hex glitter in various sizes.  I was a bit sloppier than I’d like with it, unfortunately, but you can see that the two coats I used gives a ton of both color and sparkle.  This one will be great over other colors, also, can’t wait to mix it up!

Everybody out there, can you seriously send me some good nail juju??  Look at my nubs!  I can’t seem to stop breaking them and it makes me very sad.  I will be researching vitamins in the near future.  Does anyone out there use a vitamin for their nails and/or hair that they swear by?  If so, who makes it?  *sweet smile*

Let me know, seriously.  Thanks for reading!!  🙂

Nails Inc. Covent Garden Market from The After Party Set

Hey, everybody!!  Happy new year!!  Here are swatches from the Nails Inc. The After Party set.  These are my first polishes from Nails Inc., and I think I like them!  Being a full coverage glitter, it is a bit thick, but it was not too difficult to apply.

Covent Garden Market is the first swatch I have to share from this set.  As the bottle says, it is a full cover glitter, they definitely don’t advertise falsely with that statement.  It’s a bright, candy apple red that is fully opaque in two coats.  Being a glitter, it drinks top coat like a newborn drinks formula, but the results are worth it, in my opinion!

My nails are incredibly short at the moment, so my work came out a bit sloppy, but I am sure you can appreciate the sparkle and beautiful color of this polish.  I can’t wait to try this again when my nails get a little longer, I will definitely use at least one more layer of top coat next time.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a wonderful day!!
