Short and sweet post today, had to have a pink polish post ready to post on a Wednesday – I am quite proud of myself, I must say. Actually, I just had a migraine today and was asleep for longer than I should have been, so I’m awake too late, but hey. Should be fun at work in the morning. 🙂
First we start with Nails Inc. Charing Cross Road. This polish came to me by way of the Ice Cream and Sprinkles Collection at Sephora, click here for more information on that set. As you can clearly see, this is a very pale pink creme polish. This is two coats and a topcoat (I believe) and my heavy handedness caused a bit of streaking on my index finger, but this one is definitely opaque with two coats. Below are the names of the polishes in this minis set.
Charing Cross Road – light pastel pink crème
Ladbroke Street – purple, green & blue glitter in a milky minty green
Upper Regent Street – hot chocolatey brown crème
Now with a fancy topper! I chose On Wednesdays We Wear PINK from Different Dimension. Click here to to to the Etsy shop. Missi describes this polish as a creamy pink jelly base with pink holographic glitter and different shades of pink hexes, as well as some fun color-shifting glitter. I’d have to say that pretty much sums it up. It’s a bubble-gum pink and the glitter adds just the right bit of pop to an otherwise tame color. This is two coats over the Nails Inc. Charing Cross Road base, photo taken in sunlight.
Are you wearing pink polish today? If so, what shade did you choose? Thanks for reading, happy hump day!!
Morning Glory is a part of Cult Nails‘ In The Garden Collection. I’m a sucker for pre-sale savings, so of course I had to order it. This set consists of a range of bright Spring colors. This particular shade is a bright pink/fuscia. It’s definitely not a neon, but it’s got a lot of color and won’t go unnoticed. This polish, as well as two others in this collection have a was finish which is shown in the first two photos below. This is my first time wearing a wax finish and it reminds me almost of a polish with a matte finish or topcoat applied. I can certainly see this color being used heavily during the spring and summer months.
Again with no topcoat
Here is Morning Glory with a topcoat. I really do love this color and hope that my icky photos really convey what a pretty medium-dark pink color this is. I am not usually one to wear pink polishes, but this one is reminiscent of my wild and crazy days back in the 80s. Good times. Heavy metal, aquanet, big hair, spandex, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Wham, Culture Club and fishnet stockings. Godfather’s Pizza and the Fiesta Taco in the Kendale Lakes Mall. Had my first job at the Baseball Card Store in that mall; second job actually. But I digress. Here is Morning Glory in full shine mode.
Thanks for reading, I hope you all had a nice weekend. With any luck I will get some more of this set posted before long. I’m actually currently wearing another color, and can’t wait to share.
I got my SquareHueBloom Collection today and just had to share! These are such beautiful, bright colors and I couldn’t wait for swatching to show you!
The colors this month include a the brightest pastel colors I’ve ever seen. Below are names and descriptions of each color. Can I tell you how much I LOVE these polish names!!! Yes?? OK. I REALLY LOVE these polish names!! 🙂
Yellow Submarine is a pale, egg yolk yellow with the slightest silver shimmer
Flower Power is a pale green creme, what comes to mind when I see this color is a grasshopper in a children’s book 🙂
Groovy Love is as close to the color of lilacs as you can get in a lovely creme polish
