Happy Hump day!! Midway through the week and it’s time for my random weekly tribute to Mean Girls with an ‘On Wednesdays We Wear Pink’ post. Since Pink is not my usual color of choice, this will enable me to more fully utilize my many pink polishes. Today in addition to a pink polish, I am also using a Pink Floyd themed glitter topper and a holographic polish to add to the look. I hope you all like it.
First the base polish is Helena from Julep. My photos don’t capture it, but this pink has a strong blue undertone. It’s hard to explain, but as I pulled the polish wand from the bottle I picked up a strong blue-ish tint. I had heard of colors (often reds) having a blue tone to them, but didn’t exactly understand how that could be until now. Very interesting! This color is a very bright pink and is almost opaque with two coats as I am showing in these photos. The first is with a photo flash and the second indirect sunlight. You can see that the flash brings out a lot more of the pink punch this pretty polish packs. 😉
Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a nice day. If you’re not, take a look at this beautiful polish and smile as you bask in its holographic beauty! It’s Eternal Beauty! This polish is a part of Color Club‘s 2013 Halo Hues collection, one of my first forays into holographic polishes. I stumbled upon this set for quite a deal and had to grab the whole thing, of course. For more info on where I got this set, check my earlier post here.
Eternal Beauty – Flash
This color is a bright purple with a linear holographic effect that just begs to be stared at. In some lights it looks almost blue. It’s just amazing and I am glad every time I see it that I bought it. The application of this polish was good and photos show two coats and a single later of topcoat (can’t remember which, sorry). Eventually I will get all the polishes from this collection swatched and posted to the blog. All the colors are just gorgeous and the holo effect of these polishes is amazing.

I hope you’re all having a great week! Thanks for stopping by.
Today the polish I have for you is Cosmic Fate from the Color Club Halo Hues 2013 collection. Holographic polishes have recently been the ‘apple of my eye’, and when I saw some swatches of the colors in this set, I had to get them. I have a couple other Color Club polishes and have had good experiences with all of them. This is a beautiful light copper/peach colored liner holographic polish and really leaps off the nail in full sunlight. These are my first strong holo colors and I have to say that I am sorry I waited so long to buy any. The color shift in these polishes is mesmerizing and it’s actually a good thing they aren’t quite as animated under the glow of florescent lighting lest I might not get any work done in the course of my business day. Below are shots with indirect sunlight and indoors with a flash. All are two layers with a top coat.

I found these polishes at enospring, and their service was exceptional! I ordered on a Thursday and had it in my mailbox on Monday! They are in NJ and I am in PA, so that helped I’m sure LOL, and their packaging was very secure. All around it was a very pleasant experience!
As always, thanks for reading! I hope you have a great week!
