Howdy, folks! I know it’s been a while, and I appreciate those that stick around for my now and again blogging style lol. I’ve got so many polish pics taken and just need to put posts together. There are actually a handful in draft status that I will work on getting posted in the near future. The world needs to see my nails, and I am going to show them! Eventually. But I digress, I am hear to talk about an amazing bargain I found, not my shortcomings as a blogger…….
Happy Saturday, all! Is it just me or can anyone else not believe it’s almost July already? I suppose time flies whether or not you’re having fun, huh? LOL
Today’s polish isn’t necessarily a bright, summery color, but I love it and wanted to share it just the same. 🙂 It’s one of my first polishes from Colors by llarowe. There are several polishes from this line in my hoard collection and the quality of this brand is consistently high. The colors are all very highly pigmented and the holographic polishes I have are all fabulously ……. sparkly!
Today’s polish is from butter LONDON and it’s called Branwen’s Feather. It’s a lovely deep purple/aubergine that has a subtle silver and bluish shimmer. For this manicure I used Seche Rebuild as a base, two coats of polish and one layer of Cult Nails Wicked Fast on top. It dries to a nice shine on its own, though, and does offer full coverage in two coats. Application and drying time were good, this definitely not a runny or thick, clumpy polish.
Today I have another polish from Elevation Polish called Rapa Nui. This is part of a blog sale haul you can see a pic of here, and I am really enjoying it. The polishes from Elevation that I have tried thus far are great to work with and have amazing color.
Hello, all! Sorry to have let my life outside of my nail polish addiction cut into my blogging time for as long as I did. Work, school, and family medical issues have taken a lot of my time, as I am sure most of you can relate to. I have been painting photographing and occasionally browsing blogs, but just haven’t had the time to blog myself. I will make a sincere effort to share more consistently in the future. *crossing heart* Now on to today’s polish.
Today’s polish is one that I purchased through a blog sale at Fingers Polish Mania. Here is a link to her sale page, in case you want to take a peek. If anyone is interested, it was a speedy and pleasant experience buying this polish and I will certainly keep browsing her page for goodies :). Elevation’s polishes are so beautiful and I had been wanting to try them for some time. When I found a bunch of them for sale, I had to snatch them up! Along with Toubkal, I managed to get a hold of Aurora, Broad Peak, Elbrus, Rapa Nui and Ubsunur. These are not on the blog outside the group shot of my haul below YET, but will be eventually. 😀
Toubkal from Elevation Polish is a burgundy jelly polish that is just packed with golden flakies and microglitter. My photographs really don’t do this polish justice, but you can definitely get an idea of how packed full of golden glow this polish is. These photos show two coats of polish with base and top coat, and clearly this polish offers smooth application and full coverage. AND without having to put on a third coat, yay! I think that with the right pale or pastel base color, this one might even work well as a topcoat. I will have to play with that one and see what I can come up with. Who else has this polish and what do you think of it?
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a great holiday season and that 2014 is off to a great start. 🙂
Today’s polish is from Different Dimension and it’s called Just Keep Swimming. I have many polishes from Missi’s shop and I love them all! Check out a mani I’ve done before with one of her polishes here. There is also a Pink Floyd themed polish set I got from her that I have yet to swatch. Yes. You heard me right, a Pink Floyd themed polish set! See more about it here. She’s got tons of other themed polishes like Big Bang Theory, Mean Girls and Pretty Little Liars. You should really check out her store even if only to drool over its awesomeness!! 😀 But I digress…..
This polish is a bright cerulean blue linear holographic polish that is chock full of sparkly goodness. The photos below show two coats of Just Keep Swimming over a coat of Seche Rebuild and one layer of Cult Nails Wicked Fast topcoat. the first two photos were taken outdoors in direct sunshine and you can see how this brings out the most beautiful holographic dance of color. the last photo was taken indoors with a flash.
Here is the flash photo. My puny little nails are not showing the true glory of this polish, but the bottle shot does give you an idea of how strong the holo is in this color. I absolutely love it and will use it again and again, I’m sure. On a side note, there are some cat hairs that made their way into today’s photos. I do try to prep my bottles, etc, for photographing, but inevitably the occasional cat hair has and will continue to make its way into my photos. It’s my way of letting the babies share in the blogging experience. I can’t say for sure if this hair came from Stewie, Otto or Maggie, but they are all here in spirit. 😀
Indoors with flash
That’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed this color as much as I did. I have SO many new holographic polishes I don’t even know which to swatch next, but I will figure it out. I promise! Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend ahead!
Hello, everyone! I hope you are having a nice day. If you’re not, take a look at this beautiful polish and smile as you bask in its holographic beauty! It’s Eternal Beauty! This polish is a part of Color Club‘s 2013 Halo Hues collection, one of my first forays into holographic polishes. I stumbled upon this set for quite a deal and had to grab the whole thing, of course. For more info on where I got this set, check my earlier post here.
Eternal Beauty – Flash
This color is a bright purple with a linear holographic effect that just begs to be stared at. In some lights it looks almost blue. It’s just amazing and I am glad every time I see it that I bought it. The application of this polish was good and photos show two coats and a single later of topcoat (can’t remember which, sorry). Eventually I will get all the polishes from this collection swatched and posted to the blog. All the colors are just gorgeous and the holo effect of these polishes is amazing.

I hope you’re all having a great week! Thanks for stopping by.
